Through image and text, my work deals with ideas of womanhood - what it means to exist as a woman in the 21st century - as well as themes of isolation and loneliness in a digital, and hyper-connected, world. I have found solace in making work about isolation from the outside world.
Letters to My Ghost addresses issues of self-worth and internalized gender biases. Each of print contains text addressing different junctures of womanhood and femininity. The pastel colors and vintage design choices intentionally contradict the confrontational messaging in the text.
